The Walt Disney Monorail System carries over 5 million passengers per year. It’s also accessible to three Walt Disney hotels and two Disney theme parks.
This makes it reliable, and it should put you at ease knowing that it’s the most accessible transport to EPCOT!
How To Board the EPCOT Monorail From the Polynesian Resort
EPCOT’s monorail line can be found next to the resort, and express monorail lines at the Transportation and Ticket Center. There are two ways to get here from the Polynesian Resort.
Option 1 – Taking the Walkway
The first is taking the walkway from the Polynesian to the TCC. You will first go through security, and then you’ll walk up the ramp for the EPCOT monorail, hop on, and be on your way!
Option 2 – Monorail All the Way!
The second option is taking the Monorail from the Polynesian to the Transportation and Ticket Center. You’ll see a separate ramp from the resort monorail joining the EPCOT monorail at the TCC.
Upon exiting the resort monorail, it’s important to look overhead to ensure that you’re taking the correct walkway, as people may get confused at this point.
After a short ride on the Monorail to EPCOT from the TCC, you’ll find yourself at the front entrance. You’ll have access to the ticket turnstiles at this point, and then the day of fun begins!
Perks of Taking the Monorail
If for some reason, the Monorail cannot operate, Walt Disney World will provide alternative transport, like a bus, to and from the resort.
If you want an early start, the EPCOT’s Monorail’s first trip starts 30 minutes before the earliest ride at the park. It is also in operation until an hour after the last Disney ride closes.
The monorail ride from the Transportation and Ticket Centre is roughly 11 minutes long to EPCOT, with rides leaving every few minutes.
